ABT stands for Abs, Butts and Thighs. It’s a focused group fitness class that targets the areas most people want to strengthen: your core, glutes, and legs.
No equipment needed. All fitness levels welcome. 45 minutes that makes a difference.
ABT is a group fitness class built around the three muscle groups that carry most of your everyday movement: your abs, glutes, and thighs. Each session works through a combination of bodyweight and resistance exercises in a structured, instructor-led format.
It’s not a high-intensity class. The focus is on building real strength in the right places, at a pace that works for you.
Every session works your abs and deep core muscles, building the stability that supports everything else you do.
Targeted glute exercises strengthen the largest muscle group in your body and improve hip function.
A qualified instructor leads each class, watches your form, and offers modifications as needed.
Each session runs through a mix of exercises targeting the abs, glutes, and thighs. Your instructor leads the class at a steady pace with clear technique cues throughout.
Modifications are available for every exercise, so you can push harder or pull back depending on how you feel on the day.
Strengthening your core and glutes takes pressure off your lower back and helps your spine sit the way it should.
The muscles ABT targets support nearly every movement you make. Build them and everything else gets easier.
The strength you build in ABT shows up in everyday life: bending, lifting, climbing stairs without thinking about it.
Because you’re targeting the same muscle groups each session, you’ll feel a difference quickly if you come consistently.
ABT classes are led by experienced instructors who guide every movement clearly. You can move at your own pace in a supportive group setting.
You can expect:
Bring comfortable workout clothes, a water bottle, and a towel. All equipment is at the gym.
No. ABT is structured for all fitness levels. Exercises can be modified to be easier or harder depending on where you’re at. First class nerves are normal, and the instructors are used to working with beginners.
Once or twice a week is a good starting point. Because the class targets specific muscle groups, it’s worth having a rest day between sessions to let your body recover and adapt.
ABT builds strength and muscle tone in the lower body and core. Combined with cardio classes and consistent training, it supports weight management goals. Strength classes are more about building the muscle that burns calories over time than burning them in the session itself.
The main difference is structure and accountability. In a class, you’re following a set programme led by an instructor who watches your form and keeps the session moving. A lot of members find they push harder in a group setting than they would training alone.
